Red Sox @ Mariners -- 4:40 PM ESTClay Buchholz (2-5, 5.88) will try out a new pre-game routine this afternoon as he prepares to try and complete a sweep of the Mariners. The Sox have held the Mariners to just 2 runs over the past 2 games, and they'll need much of the same from Bucky, who has never faced the Mariners, if they want to earn a win over Seattle's ace Felix Hernandez (7-6, 2.95).
King Felix has held opponents to 3 runs of fewer in 9 of his last 10 starts and has been particularly nasty in his last 7 starts, allowing just 9 runs while fanning a ridiculous 57 batters in 44 innings. For you non-mathamagicians that's 1.3 K's per inning and a 1.84 ERA... sick.
Who to Watch: JD Drew, who crawled out of a 6-33 (.181) funk with homer and a 2-3 night last night, is batting .500 against Felix... Pedroia and Manny have also been red hot as of late.

Well it looks like Bucky's new pre-game routine is paying off... 2 K's and a clean 1st inning...
nice job on the cement shoes...not a bad outing for Buchholz but he wasn't facing a though lineup either.
And then the 'pen SHINED!
P.S. I added the link to your blog to my link list...I'm sorry it wasn't sooner...Peter N.
