Sean Casey and Alex Cora will both play their final games with Pawtucket tonight, begging the question: Who is gonna lose their spot?
Alex Cora and Sean Casey will finish their rehab assignments today with Pawtucket. Then the Red Sox will need to decide on how to make room for them on the big league roster. We all know Lugo isn't going anywhere, and with Lowrie coming back to earth after a strong start, it seems obvious that he will be heading back to Rhode Island to make room for Cora.
I have no problems with Cora, even his .242 BA over the past 2 seasons, but it may be time for the Sox to cut bait here... unfortunately I don't see that happening mid-season...
As for Casey, my guess is Craig Hansen will head back to Pawtucket for the second time. Both he and Lowrie seem ready for the bigs, but there simply isn't room for them.
Julian Tavarez is the only option for long relief, so he needs to stay. And Javier Lopez seems to be guaranteed a job for some reason, so Hansen maybe spending alot of time on RT 95 this year while he waits for a permanent bullpen spot to open up.
Bottom Line: Both guys will be in Boston in September, but I think both can help the club now - they just need a trade or injury to open up a spot.

My guess is Lowrie and Hansen but I think Tavarez is not long for the team; he should be traded by June. When Colon comes up they may go without a long relief and just rotate Buchholz, Lester, Colon (whomever is rested) in the emergency spot.
