The Red Sox are on fire right now. Kason Gabbard looked like he might have the stuff to quiet them down, but he was forced to exit the game after landing awkwardly off the mound in the 2nd inning. That's when the flood gates opened...

The Rangers were forced to leave Dustin Nippert on the mound no matter how much he struggled and the Sox racked up 9 hits and 8 runs over two innings.

Julio Lugo lead the team going 4-4 with a walk and 2 runs and an RBI, but Ellsbury, Pedroia and Ortiz each had multi-hit games as well.

Even with Manny on the bench, the Red Sox offense scored 8 runs, but the BL Hero of the Game was Clay Buchholz. After getting giving up 7 runs to the Yankees in his last start, Buchholz pitched 6 strong innings in the early game, allowing just 5 hits and 2 walks, while fanning 6... dropping his ERA from 6.75 to 4.79 on the year.
